Hillview Manor, New Castle PA
On October 23, 2010, the North Coast team traveled to New Castle PA to investigate Hillview Manor. The site was a former nursing facility and was also once the county poor house. It has a long history of paranormal activity and has been the subject of numerous investigations. Our team spent the night and early morning hours exploring the buildings 4 floors and grounds. We encounterd paranormal activity in nearly every part of the site.
Members obtained photographic evidence, high emf readings and various evps on every floor. Several of us heard audible sounds and saw shadows in the halls. Still others were physically touched. We conducted successful evp, flashlight and k2 sessions, as well as some surprising responses with ghost hunting applications for ipod. On the third floor, known as one of the building's hot spots, we got successful results using a ghost box, including several members being called out by name and one being told to sit down when she reached for a chair.
We consider the 12 hours spent at Hillview Manor to be one of the most interesting and productive investigations we have conducted to date. The North Coast team left the site with no doubts as to the presence of paranormal activity.
Evps are best heard using headphones. While listening, you may hear something different, as evps can be subjective. Let us know what you hear!
